About This Cooperative
Following the principles of Integrated Social Capital and Development for Profit, Daahuk established this cooperative to help rural communities pool resources, share risks, and develop sustainable enterprises. The model emphasizes collective ownership and equitable benefit distribution. The cooperative demonstrated exceptional flexibility when its boatmen network was repurposed during the 2022 floods to deliver emergency relief across affected regions, serving thousands of people.
This initiative earned Daahuk the Runner-Up position in the Micro category of the Bangladesh Project Management Excellence Award 2022 for its outstanding contribution to community development and disaster response.
